Gunner, Heat, PC! Developer interview
We spoke with the small team making one of the best modern armor simulators to learn more about sustainable development and putting steel on target.

I’ve always loved tank sims, and while there are plenty of modern games that let you drive a wide variety of armored vehicles, they often sacrifice accuracy for the sake of accessibility. However, since discovering Gunner, HEAT, PC! a couple of years ago, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by its commitment to a portrayal of armored combat that feels authentic and brutal while remaining somewhat forgiving.
Currently in Steam Early access, Gunner, HEAT, PC!, or GHPC, stands out against the sparse landscape of contemporary tank simulators apart from its unique title (a reference to the language American tank crews use to relay orders). GHPC is being developed by Radian Simulations, a lean team of dedicated armor enthusiasts committed to creating a fun and challenging tank sim that never compromises on authenticity.
I spoke with Josh Busuito, the Development Lead for GHPC, along with Technical and Art Leads Blake Farrugia and Harry Ridgeway, to get a better understanding of the immense amount of work, research, and polish that makes this game such an anomaly. But first, I had to learn how a team of such diverse talent came together to work on a project that’s been in development for over seven years.
