New Helldivers training manuals arriving this Liberty Day
Helldivers are to report for mandatory training this Liberty Day
We can all be honest with each other, Helldivers 2 is in a bit of a rough spot right now. However, Cass Marshall and I have been stalwart defenders of Managed Democracy from the outbreak of the second Galactic War. Beyond all of the bug-stomping, bot-smashing co-op antics built into the game, we felt the subtle world-building and history woven into the world of Helldivers were deserving of more attention. So, in honor of Liberty Day this year, we’re kicking off two ongoing Helldivers series that will run in parallel on Rogue.site.
The first, titled "An Unofficial Guide to Managed Democracy," will be a series of posts written in canon, diving into the history of Super Earth, its supreme form of government, and, of course, the Helldivers. Have you ever wondered how the various ministries of Super Earth function, or how Super Earth Citizens celebrate their 10th birthday? This guide will feature all of that and more.
The second part of this series will provide a detailed, in-universe chronicle of the Major Orders of Helldivers 2 and their impact on the war effort. Intended as a celebration of the Helldivers community and the developers' adaptation to unexpected outcomes, this historical document will include firsthand accounts from Helldivers who played a role in each of these pivotal battles and their significance within the ongoing storyline.
Installments for both series will alternate each week, starting on Oct. 26, with the first chapter made available for free to all members.
