Pokemon Pokopia (it’s my website, I don’t have to do the accent marks if I don’t want to), is a bit of an every-game. It’s got DNA from Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest Builders (which itself has a lot of Minecraft in it), and, of course, it’s got some Viva Piñata.

The idea of the game is very similar to Dragon Quest Builders, but instead of being a little Akira Toriyama guy, you’re a deeply haunted Ditto who has transformed themselves into a goopy human child in the world of Pokemon. It’s so deeply creepy and weird that I just can’t help but really respect it.

As this Ditto, your goal is to travel around a post-apocalyptic world, helping Pokemon find new homes, learning from them, and discovering what happened to the humans that used to live here. You spend your time rebuilding Pokemon Centers, replacing broken blocks, and undamming rivers to flow back into their old ravines, returning life to the earth. By doing all of these things, you help the Pokemon around you.
