Screamer is a fighting game on four wheels

Outside of a handful of indies, in gaming, the racing genre is dominated by just a couple of franchises. Need for Speed satisfies the arcade niche, while Forza or Gran Turismo offer a more authentic sim experience. While they've certainly grown, they offer a largely similar experience. This is why Screamer is worth paying attention to.

Developed by the team responsible for Hot Wheels Unleashed, Screamer is an arcade racing title with an anime-inspired aesthetic and a narrative-driven campaign. The art style definitely gets Screamer off the starting block, but it's the systems working under the hood that help carry it across the finish line.
