Desktop Explorer describes itself as "an interface mystery adventure," which is a pithier description than "I don't know, like a Windows 95-era password guessing game, but also the computer might be haunted?"

And neither of those descriptions convey just how well the demo works as a creepy, unexpectedly narrative-driven, mystery-thriller.
