Blizzard, I am begging you to make World of Warcraft's Prey even meaner

I want my Prey in World of Warcraft to be as vile and hateable as possible.

I’ve been enjoying World of Warcraft’s new Midnight expansion, but it has a few glaring flaws. The rotating endgame activities, like a party at Saltheril’s Soiree, the Stormarion Assaults in Voidstorm, or the Abundance system feel more like busywork than satisfying endgame activities. There are a few strange lore inconsistencies here and there. But perhaps most importantly, I feel like the Prey system needs to be beefed up. I don’t want to kill any of these guys badly enough, and I think with just a touch of creative freedom, Prey would go from good to great.

Let me explain: Prey is a system where Astalor Bloodsworm, the best blood elf in Silvermoon, tasks you with murdering random rascals from around Azeroth. These ne’er-do-wells will jump the player in Midnight’s open world zones until a final confrontation plays out, at which point the player earns Prey currency and rewards. For example, I might have to hunt down a rogue Magister, a dangerous cultist, or a head hunting mercenary.

I am, in general, a fan of this gameplay system, but I think Blizzard has room to add a little pizazz. Take, for instance, the target Senior Tinker Ozwold. The quest description reads: “Rumor has it that Ozwold single-handedly raised insurance premiums in Gnomeregan before their little exodus. Be that as it may, he’s consistently taken to perfecting his gadgetry regardless of the cost to others. His ambition is admirable, but his methods are irredeemable.”

Having characters like Ozwold is a great start, but as a connoisseur of the Hitman games, I think we can go further. I think we should be hunting down some real assholes. Every Hitman mission begins with your handler explaining why your target is a total piece of shit.
