World of Warcraft has a long catalogue of playable races for both the Alliance and the Horde. However, there exists a great desire for other races that have been requested for many years, dating back as far back as vanilla in 2004. Today, we explore one such race that has gained a heavy following and a wish to make them playable. Marking their debut in Battle for Azeroth, we give you: the Sethrak, a race of desert warriors with a rich history, a playable rig, and a fervent fanbase.

Who are the Sethrak?

The Sethrak are a race of serpentine-folk that appeared in the expansion Battle for Azeroth. They lived within the region known as Vol’dun, a part of the troll island called Zandalar. It was once a thriving jungle, now turned into a blistering desert. Long ago prior to the desertification, they were led by a great Loa known as Sethraliss.

The Loa are powerful demi-god deities that the trolls worship, their powers strengthened by tributes and followers. Both Sethrak and trolls lived together in peace for many years. They were ruled by three leaders. Vorrik, Korthek, and Sulthis. Together, they guided their people toward peace under the guidance of Sethraliss.

Unfortunately, the peace would not last as the ravenous armies of the Aqir swarmed Zuldazar, and behind them came the C’thraxxi general known only as Mythrax.
