How to unlock the assault rifle Lv2 in Death Stranding 2

Combat is a lot more feasible in Death Stranding 2 — against BTs and human enemies like MULEs and Brigands. You'll have a lot of options for weapons, too, with things like shotguns, sniper rifles, and silenced machine pistols (my favorite).

How to unlock new weapons in Death Stranding 2
Each facility you visit in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has their own research specialties. Some focus on weapons, some on grenades, some on fieldwear, and so on. As you complete deliveries and get likes from each facility, you'll increase your connection (represented by a number of stars). Each time you complete a star, you'll unlock something new. Sometimes that unlock is just a cool new color palette, like what you get from The Artist. But other times, like with The Musician, it's a whole ass level increase to your shotgun.
Usually whatever the first thing a delivery point gives you is indicative of what you'll get (either upgrades or improved versions of) by continuing to level them up.
Where to get the assault Rifle lv2
You'll pick up the assault rifle lv1 pretty early on in On the Beach. Getting the upgraded version of it, though, takes a bit more work.
Chances are, you'll already be in Australia by the time you want it, so the first thing you'll need to do is get back to Mexico.
Once you're back in North America, you'll need to complete deliveries to C1 South Distribution Center and your contact there, Benjamin Rivera. Once you hit four stars, you'll unlock the assault rifle lv2.
