This BigFriendly.Guide will explain how to repair damaged buildings in Worshippers of Cthulhu.

Repairing buildings in Worshippers of Cthulhu won't come up very often — you'll only need to deal with it when your settlement is attacked. But if a building does takes damage, it'll just sit there on fire until you repair it. And where to find the repair option isn't really clear.
This BigFriendly.Guide will explain how to repair damaged buildings in Worshippers of Cthulhu.
How to repair buildings in WOrshippers of Cthulhu
Every building in Worshippers of Cthulhu has an invisible HP bar. For the most part, you don't have to worry about it. When your island is attacked, though, the enemy ships will start with things like defensive towers and then move on to anything else in range.

Once a building takes damage, it'll catch on fire. If it takes enough damage, it'll be destroyed and will just disappear. When that happens, you'll have to rebuild it from scratch. Hopefully, though, you'll take out your attackers before that happens.

So now your building is damaged and actively on fire. To repair it, hit Q on the keyboard to bring up the radial menu. At the bottom is a nondescript cursor labelled repair. Choose it, and then hover over the damaged building to see what it'll cost to fix it.
If you've got the supplies, all that's left is to click it.
Do you have to repair damaged buildings?
Damaged (and on fire) buildings don't keep losing HP, so they just kind of sit there ... smoldering. Being actively ablaze doesn't seem to affect their productivity. So, technically, you don't have to fix them right away.
Being damaged, though, means, they have less HP for the inevitable next attack and will get wiped out that much sooner. So, while it's not an immediate problem, you'll want to fix them up before the next fight.
