It's the year of Marathon, friends.

If any of you have kept up with me on the hell site formerly known as Twitter, you'll know that I basically only ever talk about Bungie stuff over there, as I'm mostly on BlueSky otherwise.

If you've read anything I've said on NoAmountOfMoneyCanMakeElonCool.com over the past year, you'll know two things:

1) Destiny 2 had a pretty weird 2025, and I've had a lot to say about that

2) I've become very, very smitten with Marathon, the studio's upcoming extraction shooter

I've already written a bit about Destiny 2 for Rogue, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. And I'm certain I'll be writing a lot about Marathon once it hits. But I'm very excited for this game and I wanted to chat with some other excited folks who I know will be covering it.

Enter: Escape Will Make Me Pod (a reference to the game's "Escape Will Make Me God" tagline), a new podcast that I host with Destiny 2 YouTuber and Marathon ARG solver, Skarrow9, and awesome Marathon lore YouTuber, JakeTheAlright.

This show sees the three of us (finally, three white men hosting a video game podcast, am I right?) chatting through the news leading up to Marathon's March release, and will hopefully continue into covering the game each week once it's out. For our inaugural episode, we're chatting about Bungie's new developer insights video, which focuses on each of the Runner classes.

You can check out the video version of the show on YouTube (which I've linked above). You'll find the audio version of the show here (I'll be posting an article like this every time an episode goes up), but you can also just subscribe to us on your podcast app of choice, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. And you can watch this really nice and short intro video from Jake (below), in which I get called articulate for perhaps the first time in my life!

To be clear, this is not another official Rogue podcast, and I'm the only one of the team who is affiliated here. But it is a good resource (IMO) for keeping up with Marathon, which is one of the biggest games coming out this year, despite what the internet will tell you. So my co-founders have graciously agreed to allow me to post about it on here.

Thanks for listening! I hope you enjoy the show.
