Look, I at least appreciate Fortnite's commitment to the bit with the South Park skins

They're not as horrifying as expected, but in a way that I genuinely appreciate

To get this out of the way, I've dabbled in both Fortnite and South Park, but I'm not really a huge fan of either. But I watched like a three minute clip of South Park doing a Fortnite joke (which is the trailer linked below) just so I could see the inevitably horrifying Fortnite skins of the kids.

And honestly, man? Nicely done.

These skins are hellish (which is why I'm showing them to you all), and the game continues to be a nightmare amalgamation of pop culture in some pretty horrifying ways. But to not be annoying about it for just a second, I appreciate that nobody seems to care how many art styles this game has.

Part of me thought they were really gonna Banana Peel or Blonde Fortnite Man the South Park kids into some horrifying, elongated version of them to fit Fortnite's original art style – like scary, buff Peter Griffin. But instead they kinda just made them look like they do in any 3D South Park project and put their tiny, stupid round bodies in mech suits so they'll fit the character rigging.

Is it stupid? I mean, for sure. Is it gonna look dumb as hell running around out there? Obviously. Dumber than watching Venom and Goku floss at each other with two distinctly different art styles before Commander Zavala runs up and mows them down? Definitely not.
