Earlier this year, Ubisoft named Christoph Hartmann as the new General Manager of Creative House 2, the studio behind the Tom Clancy's The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell franchises. Following his appointment, Hartmann has now renamed the umbrella label for these games and their studios to Massive Entertainment, it was announced in a press release today.

The newly dubbed Massive Entertainment has been a part of Ubisoft since 2008 after being acquired from Activision. The studios include teams around the world in Montréal, Paris, Sweden, and Toronto, and all of the developers currently working on the Tom Clancy IP as well as the upcoming Ubisoft franchise, March of Giants, will now fall under the Massive Entertainment branding. Ubisoft will continue to publish the games as they have since their inception.

Hartmann said that the the goal for the change in branding is to unify all of the disparate teams under one banner, building up their identity and cohesion as a team.

We know that currently, Massive Entertainment is continuing to support titles like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege with "no change to ongoing commitments for players or partners." The Division 3 was announced back in 2023 as being in active development, and all pages covering the game's current status have already been updated to include the Massive Entertainment branding.
