Gears of War E-Day's new version of Horde makes the battlefield come alive
We've put out a new video about why Gears' new Horde Siege mode is a game changer for the series
I dove into the beta last week, and spent my time specifically with the new Horde mode, called Horde Siege. Siege completely remakes what works about Horde, and turns it into a persistent multiplayer extraction-type mode. And I was instantly taken with one of Siege's big new features: random allied player squads.
The Gears of War E-Day's multiplayer beta is currently live for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, but the entire thing will go live for all later this week.
Now I'm going to do something a bit different than normal here, and point you to a YouTube video: mine.
In the above video, I go through how Horde Siege has changed and what makes it so fantastic. You'll find my thesis, body, and conclusion all in there (paired with my own world-class gameplay, of course).
We're a small team here at Rogue, and we only have a limited amount of time every week. But we want to cover a ton of different games for you all, and use Rogue as a hub for recommendations and all other kinds of gaming news. So when any of us do some outside work that we'd like to share, like this YouTube video, you might see it pop up on the site .
As we all grow in our endeavors, Rogue grows with us. Thank you for supporting us on this journey, and supporting all of our many projects. Stay tuned for more Gears of War E-Day coverage!
