I might've just found the game that will finally get me into Warhammer
This feels dangerous
I've always admired Warhammer from afar. I mean there are chain swords. And rat guys. And yeah, I already know those are two different universes or time periods or something. (Maybe the rat guys are in both? I don't know. Don't tell me. Please don't tell me. I'm OK not knowing).
The point is: I like a lot of what Warhammer has to offer. I like those chain swords. I like those rat guys. I like the obvious fascism and authoritarian parody poking clear and blatant fun at our own history (even if the worst people on earth are too stupid to see it).
But I'm pretty bad at liking all the Warhammer stuff. My brother-in-law asks me to play the tabletop RPG once a year, but I can't afford an army right now, and I forget the rules every time. Every Warhammer video game I've played, I've either fallen off of for being a bit repetitive (sorry Space Marine series, you're really cool) or not really my jam (sorry Total War: Warhammer series, you should be called Total Warhammer, but otherwise you're also really cool). And at this point, it just kinda feels like it'll never happen for me.
Enter Warhammer Survivors, a new bullet-heaven (you know, like Vampire Survivors) game set in the world of Warhammer. Oh, and the game's development is in partnership with poncle, the developer of Vampire Survivors and Vampire Crawlers (two perfect video game).

There's only a demo out for Warhammer Survivors so far, but it's ... exactly what you think it should be. It's Vampire Survivors, but instead of sprites and weapons very obviously ripped from Castlevania ... it's all Warhammer stuff. You can choose between 40K and Age of Sigmar (some upgrades even carry over), evolve weapons unique to the universe, rescue a variety of different Warhammer heroes, and more.
