Order of the Sinking Star has a lot of puzzles for you to get through, if that kinda thing is your jam

Order of the Sinking Star is the latest sprawling puzzle game from Jonathan Blow, the creator of Braid and The Witness. And if you, like me, were hoping that Blow's latest would take after his first smash hit by being a short, tight puzzle game ... I've got some bad news for you.

Order of the Sinking Star isn't Braid-sized, or even The Witness-sized (which How Long To Beat estimates at about 17 hours). No, Blow's new game is a 40+ hour puzzle adventure that revolves around a single idea: block puzzles.

When I say "block puzzle" your mind probably goes to the caves of the original Pokemon games – at least if you're a certain age. Puzzles where you must correctly push blocks from certain directions to move them into that perfect configuration where they'll make a path that you can get through. Normally, these puzzles can be tedious, because one misstep might mean restarting the entire thing. But Order of the Sinking Star has a handy rewind button that allows you to instantly take as many moves back as you’d like.

Now you might be thinking "what do you mean 40 hours for block puzzles, surely there's something more here." There is! From a certain point of view.
