The best demos and sales from Steam's Secret Sauce Showcase
The Secret Sauce Showcase on Steam comes with some good deals and intriguing demos
The Steam Summer Sale has come to a close, but there are still deals to be found on the platform for those willing to dig a little. Offbrand Games is currently running the third-party Secret Sauce Showcase on Steam, which runs until July 23. In addition to announcing upcoming games, players can take advantage of some decent sales and intriguing demos for upcoming titles. After perusing the games on display, here’s our roundup of the best sales to pick up — or if you prefer a free sample, the most interesting demos.
While we'll be highlighting the Steam event, the Secret Sauce Showcase on YouTube showed off tons of trailers for indie games, so if you want a glimpse at some exciting titles on the horizon, it's definitely worth a watch.

Cutting Edge: Roots of Mutation
Remember the Trauma Center games? We haven't gotten one of those surgery simulator titles since 2010, which is part of why Cutting Edge: Roots of Mutation caught my eye. It's not exactly like the Atlas games – for one, everyone is an anthropomorphic animal, so you're a lizard operating on cows and birds – and their unique anatomies. There's also a cyberpunk element: you'll have to hack corpo organs and deal with cybernetic augments, alongside more traditional organic medicine. Cutting Edge is set to release before the end of 2026.
A Week in the Life of an Asocial Giraffe
A Week in the Life of an Asocial Giraffe is a low-stakes stealth game where you play a giraffe who does not want to talk to anyone. You'll spend a week guiding him through various social situations at the gym, the subway, coffee shops, and stores. The art style is incredibly cute and charming, and I find this giraffe's social struggles to be incredibly relatable. " If anyone sees him, they'll talk to him, and if anyone talks to him, his head will explode," says the Steam store description. Same, man. Big same. There's no release date, but Steam says the game is "coming soon".
