The Jackbox Party Pack 12 has a few fun twists and no misses
The Jackbox Party Pack 12 is a solid pack of new games - no big sequels, and no stinkers
The Jackbox Party Pack is a tried and true formula. With the recent release of The Jackbox Party Pack 12, the developers have put out a really good bundle of games. If you’re unfamiliar with the format, Jackbox Party Packs include a few fun mini-games. Some might be centered around trivia, others might ask players to draw funny pictures, and my personal favorites are the ones based around wordplay. One player hosts, and everyone else can join for free from their device.
Previous Party Packs tend to be uneven — all of them have at least one good mini-game I can recommend, but some of them have that lone gem among a few experiments that didn’t work out. Others have a set of interesting games, but with premises that I personally don’t care for. Any game that focuses on a group of people shouting at each other across a couch, for instance, is usually a no-go for me. So I was quite pleased that after spending a bit of time with The Jackbox Party Pack 12, that this is a stinker-free selection. Each game is fun, appealing, and the entire pack has something for any occasion.
Here’s a quick rundown of each mini-game making up The Jackbox Party Pack 12. This time, there are no sequels to previous megahit minigames, and the novelty does a lot for me.
