Thank God for Biddy Blas and all he's done for Galactic Racer
Galactic Racer is worth your time, make sure to SCRIB DOON (write it down)
Like all of you, I have been "Scrib Doon-ing" my way around my house with my partner for the last month. Every offense is met with "DING DONG POOKIE, DING DONG" and it, remarkably, has not failed to get a laugh out of me or my wife yet.
Yes Biddy Blas, the little crocodile man in sunglasses from the new Star Wars game, Galactic Racer, is a massive hit. And his voice actor is upsettingly hot. And it's all very strange, and also perfect. It's also what finally made me bite the bullet on picking the game up, and I'm so glad I did.
Now I'm not much of a racing game guy. I'll always say that I play pretty much everything except sports and racing games, while adding that my interest in fighting games is also a bit limited. But that's not entirely true. Diddy Kong Racing was a life-changing experience for me, and I'll never get over how hard that Pig Man was, or how weird the elephant genie is. It's really all quite the fever dream, when you think about it. Anyway.

The various Mario Karts have also occupied my attention over the years. I'm an arcade racer kind of guy, and Galactic Racer looked ... fast. And like you have to corner and stuff.
Well, Galactic Racer is fast. It's fast as fuck, to be fully honest with you. It's so fast that I feel like I can't really see where I'm supposed to go half the time, because the lights don't do a super good job of guiding you around the tracks. But it's also very much an arcade racer, with silly boosts, fabulous shortcuts, and bizarre little men who talk shit at you with their high pitched voices before you ram them into an unused Star Destroyer.
