Last week, Cass wrote about Big Walk, a game that defies the friendslop genre by focusing on slow exploration and cerebral puzzle solving over goofy hijinks.

While Cass was off getting into large-scale hijinks and telling us all how wild the game is when you throw tons of people into the group, I was streaming the game with a small but mighty crew: my pod bros co-hosts from Escape Will Make Me Pod, the world's number 1 and only Marathon podcast. Skarrow9 (a Destiny YouTuber focused on puzzle guides and raiding), JakeTheAlright (a party dude and Marathon YouTuber), and I beat the game over two large sessions and still have a few puzzles to finish together.

I really loved the game, and had a great time with my friends. But I didn't fully understand why everyone was calling it an obvious Game of the Year contender until I entered the game's final stretch, which left me borderline emotional.

Warning, everything below this line contains spoilers for the end of Big Walk. If you're looking for more general impressions of the game, you can check out my video above (although I do talk about the end at the end of the video, but I give fair warning)!
